Formatting marks help you manage formatting & maintain consistency
LeaderGuide Pro turns on Word’s formatting marks.
Formatting marks are your friend. They help you manage formatting.
Once you have a Facilitator Guide or Participant Guide on your screen, you will notice Word’s formatting marks, including:
Paragraph marks
End of cell & end of row symbols
Section breaks
Page breaks
Text Fields
Non-printing red text
Bookmarks
Spaces between words
Arrows next to bullet points
LeaderGuide Pro turns the formatting marks on because:
they play an important role in any document where you need to ensure professional formatting.
You can turn the formatting marks off & on:
using the Show/Hide Paragraph Marks button on Word’s Home tab ribbon.
If you turn them off:
it’s good to know that as soon as you click any button on the LeaderGuide Pro ribbon, the formatting marks will be turned back on.
They must be on while you are working in your LeaderGuide Pro document because there are:
things you must not delete but will not see if the formatting marks are turned off, and
times when you need to know exactly where your cursor is before you initiate a LeaderGuide Pro function
