There are four parts to the Instructional Strategies section

  1. Delivery Format

    • How the course content is to be delivered

  2. Adult Learning Strategies

    • The motivational framework for learner participation, achievement and evaluation

  3. Learner Achievement Activities

    • The activities that assess the learner’s attainment of the objectives

  4. Evaluation Plan

    • The strategies to be used to evaluate the success of the course

To complete the four parts of the Instructional Strategies section

  1. Delivery Format

    • Type in a brief description of how the course content is to be delivered

  2. Adult Learning Strategies

    • Use the cognitive prompts provided to guide your thinking as you type in the strategy descriptions for learner Involvement, Experience, Relevance, and Problem-centered

  3. Learner Achievement Activities

    • Click the Learner Achievement button on the Learning Design Tool ribbon to guide you through the process of crafting activities that assess the learner’s attainment of the objectives - SCROLL DOWN to learn how

  4. Evaluation Plan

    • Type in the strategies to be used to evaluate the success of the course

How to add Learner Achievement Activities

  1. Click Learner Achievement on the Learning Design Tool ribbon

  2. Answer the question you will see, asking:

    • Do you want to document activities for the enabling objectives as well as the terminal objectives?

  3. Watch as the Learner Achievement Activities table is populated with your terminal learning objectives

    • And with your enabling objectives if you said “Yes” to the question

  4. Use the automated drop-down menu above each objective to select an activity

    • Choices vary based on the Learning Level

  5. Type in a description of each assessment activity

    • And describe how learner feedback is provided.
