A new Learning Design document consists of eight pages

Your new Learning Design document contains these eight pages:

  • Cover page

  • Acknowledgements page

  • Table of Contents

  • Intentional Blank page

  • Content Analysis page

  • Instructional Analysis page

  • Instructional Strategies page

  • Course Structure and Sequencing page

Cover page

The Cover page contains your:

  1. Course ID

  2. Logo

  3. Learning Design title

  4. Document Identifier

  5. And anything else you may add to a custom cover page

And you will notice:

A. Word’s formatting marks are on

B. Tables are in use on most pages

Acknowledgements page

Do not delete this page. It contains:

  1. Document Title

    • In a field that picks up the title on your Cover page

  2. Copyright placeholder

    • Type in your information

  3. Version Date

    • In a field that repeats in the even-numbered page headers

    • Edit the date on this page and it will update in the page headers

  4. Table with three rows

    • You can edit rows 1 and 2

    • Do not delete or type in row 3

  5. Non-printing RED Text

    • Do not delete or alter

  6. Section Break

    • Do not delete this section break

The Table of Contents displays:

  1. Page Header showing the document title and version date

  2. Page Name

  3. Topics

  4. Subtopics

  5. Red Text and Section Break

  6. Page numbers that link to the pages

Do not alter or type on the Table of Contents page.

  • To edit what this page displays:

    • Edit the text on the actual pages

    • Click Update All Fields on the Learning Design Tool ribbon

The Content Analysis page holds information from your Analysis, including the:

  1. Topic Name

  2. Content Analysis Table

  3. Placeholders for Content Analysis data

    • Data can be imported in using the Import Analysis Data button on the Learning Design Tool ribbon. Or you can type information into the form.

  4. Non-printing red text and Section break

    • Do not delete
