Customizing the Learner Achievement Activities
After you add your Terminal and Enabling learning objectives, you will move to the Instructional Strategies part of your design, and this is where you will be prompted to add your Learner Achievement Activities.
Learner Achievement Activities are the exercises, tests, activities and various other spheres of action that you will use to prove a learner has accomplished the goals set out for them as defined by your learning objectives.
The Learning Design Tool includes a set of default Learner Achievement Activities that you can easily edit. To begin:
Click Customize on the Learning Design Tool ribbon
Select Learner Achievement Activities
Use the Customize Learner Achievement Activities dialog box to edit and add your activities

About Learner Achievement Activities
The Principles of Adult Learning provide the framework for building achievement activities.
That framework should be evident in:
how the activities are administered and
how feedback is processed, delivered, and internalized by the learner.
More than simple tests
Learner Achievement activities:
Are not just simple ad hoc knowledge checks or participative exercises and assessments.
Are well crafted learner-centered activities:
that clearly demonstrate to the organization and the learner
that the expected level of personal accomplishment has been achieved.
A properly constructed Learner Achievement Activity is:
Focused
Relevant
Timely
Problem-Centered & Participative
When they are run
Achievement activities can be run:
at the end of a terminal objective instructional unit, such as the end of a module
as a last activity in a lesson that is teaching to an enabling objective
as a combined "master" assignment at the end of the course (instructional event)
at some period of time after the learning event has taken place.
About the Customize Learner Achievement Activities dialog box

Then copy and paste from Notepad into the description textboxes for the Activity Description and Feedback Description.
Reusable
What you write here is stored permanently.
Thus it is important to have well-written descriptions about the activities and how feedback is handled.
The Learner Achievement Activities you enter into this form will auto-populate into the Learner Achievement Activity section of your design document when selected from the pulldown menu.
